Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil Liquid Pump 16 oz. & 32 oz. BEST SELLER

Softgel or liquid when it comes to choosing a salmon oil for you dog? When most people think of the best salmon oil supplements, they naturally picture softgels. However, there are a number of benefits to choosing liquid salmon oil products instead. Let’s take a closer look at some of the benefits of liquid salmon oil supplements over their softgel counterparts. As with all types of vitamins and supplements, the actual amount of each ingredient can vary based upon a variety of factors starting with the beginning of the manufacturing process all the way through the time you open the bottle of supplements at home. Because of this, it is impossible to make a blanket statement that liquid salmon oil will always have more Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids than softgels. However, in general, the trend does tend to show that liquid salmon oil will normally have more Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids than softgels. This is because there is a higher concentration of EPA and DHA per serving.

Most people automatically assume that softgels are more inexpensive than liquid salmon oil; however it really depends on your perspective. One package of softgels will normally be cheaper than liquid salmon oil; however it can take 4+ packages to equal the number of doses that you can get from a single bottle of liquid salmon oil. So while it may be cheaper per purchase to choose softgels, over the long run, liquid salmon oil is a much more economical choice.

You may not know it, but when your dog takes its first spoonful of liquid salmon oil, it isn’t going to squirm like a fish. Your dog is going to devour it.  Most dogs love the flavor of salmon.  In fact, the rise of salmon based dog food has risen over the past 10 years by over 45%.  Liquid salmon oil for humans is normally flavored in one way or another to make it taste a lot better. As an added bonus, most people will also be able to avoid some of the common side effects of salmon oil supplements, such as a “fishy” burp. Some also claim that liquid salmon oil does not give them some of the other side effects such as diarrhea or nausea; however this should be considered an exception rather than a rule. Aside from taste related benefits, if you suffer from any salmon oil supplement side effects, you will likely also suffer them when you take liquid salmon oil as well.  But in this case, we are considering the pups and not our consumption so we are good to go here unless you plan to share your supplements with your dog; which is not too far from reality these days as many may have earned a place not too far from your dinner table.
